2023
2023 saw Alex Dunne continuing his progress up the ladder on the FIA Road to F1 as he turned his attention from Formula 4 to the GB3 Championship.
Alex finished the British championship season as the Rookie Champion and second in the overall points, with the most wins for any driver and a new record for the highest number of points scored in a single weekend. Following the end of the British season Alex went on to impress in his first FIA F3 test, topping the times in the wet session before finishing his season off with a debut F3 race in the Macau Grand Prix.
GOALS
To continue to progress, take race wins and the GB3 Championship before moving up to the F1 supporting FIA Formula 3 Championship in 2024.
2022
For his second year in Car Racing Alex began in the UAE Championship over five weeks in January and February. FOllowing the UAE series Alex continued inF4 challenging for the British and Italian F4 titles. Continuing to enhance his excellent reputation Alex set numerous records on his way to the British title while also picking up runner-up spot in the hugely competitive Iralian F4 series.
GOALS
Having taken his first race wins in the UAE, Alex’s goal for 2022 is to win races and challenge for the British and Italian Formula 4 Championships while working towards an expected move into F3 for 2023.
2021
Following a number of seasons as Ireland’s top International Kart Racer, Fifteen year old Alex Dunne will make his Car Racing debut in 2021 in the Spanish Formula 4 Championship driving for Irish team Pinnacle Motorsport. Alex has competed outside of Ireland almost from the beginning of his career and this year will be the same as he tackles races in Spain, Belgium and Portugal..
GOALS
To build his experience in the Formula 4 Car and on the European tracks while aiming to move towards challenging at the front. The target for 2021 is to finish as best rookie in the F4 Championship while also targetting outright wins and podiums.
2020
Alex headed into his first year in Senior Karting with a return to competing at European level during the 2020 Global Pandemic. However the truncated 2020 season provided just four racing opportunities for him, with two European Championship races, a pre-world Championship warm up event and the 2020 ‘OK’ World Championship the only events in which he competed.

Consistently finishing in the top six in his first season in Senior Karting.

2019
The second year for Alex competing in European Junior Karting. His aim as the European Championship season started was to convert his good pre season form, which saw him take his first outright win at Adria in January, into a strong European challenge. A brilliant season followed with Alex recording a best finishing position of second overall as well as a first European Heat win on his way to seventh in the European Championship.

2018
2018 saw Alex step up to the World & European OKJ Karting championships as well as racing in the IAME International final at Le Mans. season highlights included European Championship heat wins and eleventh place overall in both the World Championship Final and the IAME Junior International Final.

2017
Alex combined a full assault on the British Superone and LGM Championships with his first European and World Championship races, culminating in the ROK World International Final where his fifth place confirmed him as one of the top young talents in World Karting.

Alex concentrated on Karting in the UK tackling the ‘Superone’ and ‘LGM’ Karting Championships. Alex also raced at home in selected Irish Championship races where he dominated the top step of the podium.
