Alex heads into his second year competing at European and World Championship level with the aim of converting his good early season form, which saw him take his first outright win at Adria in January, into a World and European titles.


Continue to improve and turn the potential I showed in 2018 into consistent race wins as I build up to my second attempt at the European and World Championships. My uultimate aim is to become the first Irish Junior Karting World Champion.


2018 saw Alex step up to the World & European OKJ Karting championships as well as racing in the IAME International final at Le Mans. season highlights included European Championship heat wins and eleventh place overall in both the World Championship Final and the IAME Junior International Final.

Alex combined a full assault on the British Superone and LGM Championships with his first European and World Championship races, culminating in the ROK World International Final where his fifth place confirmed him as one of the top young talents in World Karting.


Fifth in the world out of 162 competitors on his first time racing in the Mini Rok class.
First race win at World Championship level.
First ever outright British Championship wins.
Numerous British Championship heat wins and podiums.
Fourth in the highly competitive British Superone Championship.
First ever victory for the Tony Kart Neos chassis in the Superone series.


Alex concentrated on Karting in the UK tackling the ‘Superone’ and ‘LGM’ Karting Championships. Alex also raced at home in selected Irish Championship races where he dominated the top step of the podium.

Won all four Irish Championship races he contested.
Retained the Motorsport Ireland ‘0’ plate.
Contested 36 UK races to build experience for a championship challenge in 2017.


For Alex’s first full year racing, he competed in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Irish Kart Championships as well as making his first overseas race appearance in the British Championship.
